So you have a wedding you want to attend and you want to lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks.

You're wondering if that's possible.

Well, it is possible, but you'd have to do it in a very unhealthy way.

You can certainly lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks by eating fish and drinking water every single day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Or, you could just drink liquids every day for 2 weeks straight.

You would certainly accomplish your weight loss goal of 20 pounds, but you'd suffer fatigue, lose lean muscle, and have bouts of diarrhea.

The first scenario is clearly an unhealthy way to go about losing weight.

It is possible to lose massive amounts of weight in a short period of time - healthfully. How?

Change Your Diet :

I'm convinced that sugar and flour are the main cause of obesity in the United States.

Not only is it obvious that we're getting fatter as a nation despite our "low-fat" consciousness, I have my own personal experience on which to rely.

My Personal Weight Loss Experiment :

I did an experiment. I wanted to see how much weight

I could lose simply by eliminating bread, rice, potatoes, sugar and anything made with flour.

I restricted my food plan to protein, fruit and vegetables.

When I say protein, I don't mean yogurt or cottage cheese only, I mean I ate the foods I love, like bacon, sausage, cheese, eggs, etc.

I made sure I ate at least a serving a fruit at breakfast with my protein, 2 cups salad with my protein at lunch, and a combination of 3 cups vegetable and salad with my protein at dinner.

Sure, I ate fish as part of my protein, but I also ate lamb chops, pork chops and veal!

The Results :

I lost 8 pounds that week - without exercising. So then I decided to incorporate carbs the second week.

So I had the "typical" All-American breakfast - a bagel and orange juice for breakfast, turkey sandwich with lettuce and tomato for lunch, and rice and chicken with vegetables for dinner. After a week - I had gained the 8 pounds back plus 2 additional pounds!

My Conclusion :

My conclusion is that if I had exercised and continued eating the way I had been eating in the first scenario, I could have easily lost up to 10 pounds in that first week and it would have been done in a very healthy way.

After all, I hadn't restricted my calories.

I just restricted all the foods that are really bad for you - like white flour and sugar.

Second, I realized that in addition to exercise and eating a low carb way, I needed some sort of supplement to help me stay energized and keep my metabolism burning like a furnace.

In sum, it is very possible to lose up to 20 pounds in 2 weeks eating a healthy low carb way, exercising, and using some type of dietary supplement.
